Treats for pup with calcium oxalate crystals

My 5 month old female irish setter was recently diagnosed with calcium oxalate crystals in her urine. The vet told me she would have to be on a special diet for life. She goes in on Monday for x ray to see if she had stones and how big they are. I don't really know what to expect after that.

She is one of 5 dogs I have and I feel so bad treating and feeding the others in front of her. Do you know of any homemade treat that I can make that she would be able to eat?

I hope we are eventually able to manage her condition but as I said I am not sure what to expect.

Any information you can send would be appreciated

Thank you!

Carol

Hi Carol.

Please read the information on this page:

Calcium oxalate stone

Oxalate stones are not easy to manage. Always check with your vet before giving your dog any suggested treats.
