Packaging for dog treats serves two purposes:
1) First and foremost, it keeps dog treats fresh and clean.
2) Secondly, it can be a terrific way to advertise your dog treat business or crafts business.
There are quite a few options when it comes to packaging. You can put your crafts into a box, or just into a simple plastic bag. Craft stores will carry these items.
Wrap the box with a dog-themed ribbon, or use it to tie up the bag.
Here are two examples of dog-themed ribbons with bones and paw prints. There are all different colors, patterns, and ribbon widths. Check your local craft stores and sewing stores which are the best places to find these items.
This next photo shows how you can use dog treat packaging to advertise and for marketing dog treats.
Take a business card and:
* Stick it inside the package
* Offer a discount on it
* Punch a hole and tie it to the package with the ribbon
Or, make up a set of labels with your business name and logo and just stick them right on your plastic package or box.
Here's a photo of the same package using a dog themed ribbon. This package was initially tied with a pipe cleaner. See how it pops out! The plain plastic package is not so plain anymore!
Most importantly!!!
Make sure you have contact information on your card or label. Best bet would be a website or email since so many people use email today. If you don't have a website, consider getting one put up. It doesn't have to be elaborate, but without a website you will look like you are doing it for a hobby, not for business.
FDA approved, use in oven, microwave, freezer, dishwasher.
